About Seasoned With Salt: Updates and uptakes from a missionary-in-training
“Seasoned with Salt” is from Colossians 4:6. “Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.” This verse embodies the type of ministry we desire to have in Spain (and it indulges our passion for food). We desire that every person “taste that the Lord is good,” as Peter says in 1 Peter 2:1 – “So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation— if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good.”
About Us
This is us. We’re Chris and Rosalie Duryee, a married couple from the wild Pacific Northwest. We’re all about Jesus around here. In 2011, we added little miss Susanna Jane to our family.
We are appointed as assistant church planters to Spain, where we will focus on sharing the Gospel through relationships, teaching English, outreach to children and young families, and college campus clubs.
Our wedding anniversary is July 10, 2004

About Chris
An AWANA project featuring long time missionaries to Africa, a recording of elementary-age Chris “preaching” from the playroom, and God-given frustration with the small size of the church in Western Europe led Chris to being open to the call to missions himself. He will use his people and speaking skills to assist with church planting in Spain.
