About Seasoned With Salt: Updates and uptakes from a missionary-in-training
“Seasoned with Salt” is from Colossians 4:6. “Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.” This verse embodies the type of ministry we desire to have in Spain (and it indulges our passion for food). We desire that every person “taste that the Lord is good,” as Peter says in 1 Peter 2:1 – “So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation— if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good.”
We are appointed as assistant church planters to Spain, where we will focus on sharing the Gospel through relationships, teaching English, outreach to children and young families, and college campus clubs.
Our wedding anniversary is July 10, 2004
About Rosalie (the author)
This is me in Spain. I write a lot about Spain. Here on Seasoned With Salt, I ruminate on missions, faith and life, and occasionally, random things I love. Thanks for coming along for the ride!

An AWANA project featuring long time missionaries to Africa, a recording of elementary-age Chris “preaching” from the playroom, and God-given frustration with the small size of the church in Western Europe led Chris to being open to the call to missions himself. He will use his people and speaking skills to assist with church planting in Spain.
Chris’s birthday is August 20, 1976
Susanna is our pride and joy, and the one who makes life fun. She loves to talk, snack, stack and knock over piles of toys.
