1 Thessalonians 5:24

The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.

The One who called you is completely dependable. If he said it, he’ll do it!

Holding hands as we stood together near the front door before leaving for work each morning, Chris prayed that God would make a way for me to stay home with kids when the time came. In 2009, when we began our morning prayer time, the answer to Chris’s prayer seemed impossible. But we prayed with a little faith, knowing that for our family, having mama at home would be the right decision. So yesterday, I took Susanna to meet my coworkers and made it official. Since we began praying, Chris got a promotion and we started raising money to go to the field. We stepped out in faith, believing God has answered our prayers.

In the midst of that, we had a baby, replaced a windshield and paid a lot of bills. Yesterday, the very same day we eliminated an income source, we had to replace the head gasket in Chris’s car.

It seems to me that God is giving us ample opportunity to continue to trust Him with our finances!
