Yesterday, March 6, was a VERY special day. Chris preached his very first sermon. We were so fortunate to be able to have that experience in the comfort of our home church, and we are both extremely grateful for that. His message was on perspective: why Christians don’t share the Gospel and how God changes us so that we do. Sometime mid week, the sermon recording will be uploaded here. I’ll keep you posted!
Following our prefield launch at Eastgate, where MANY of our friends came out in support of us (we were in awe!), we headed to Taylor Creek Church for their missions conference and commissioning ceremony for Todd Janes, who is heading to Cambodia. I just want to give a very special shout out to Taylor Creek. Not only did they welcome us at their missions conference this weekend, but they highlighted our ministry for the audience, fed us a delightful potluck meal, led us in wonderful worship songs, promised prayer and bonded over our mutual support of the Browns, whom they’ve supported for over 12 years. We are looking forward to many years of connecting with our friends at Taylor Creek because of their tremendous support of the church plant in Alcalá.
